In the Otherfaith, a main shrine is maintained for the gods to receive offerings on. The devotee running this virtual shrine maintains a physical offering shrine at which the Four Gods and related spirits receive prayers and material goods. Otherfaith practice calls for, "when feasible...a main or offering shrine. This will become a focal point of your practice and help cultivate your relationship with your home/space. ...Establishing the main shrine is the next step in establishing a devotional relationship with the Four Gods. It needs daily care and up keep and should be cleansed weekly."
Prayers and offerings will be made within one week of receiving the request. Be aware that praying to the gods on your behalf does draw their attention to you, and you may feel their presence more strongly in your life after the prayer is made.
If you wish to discuss details on offerings and prayers, please contact Aine through email, Facebook, or Twitter.
Purpose: The Main Shrine of the Other People helps those unable to keep their own shrines maintain a devotional relationship with our gods and spirits. Its main use is by the Other People. Visitors and friends of the faith may also use the shrine, as a secondary purpose.
When speaking on behalf of another individual, we require a name, for the gods to hear on your behalf.
